The war for Wonderland has become a war for Imagination!
King Arch has declared himself King of Wonderland as Alyss searches wildly for the solution to the metaphysical disaster that has engulfed her Queendom. The power of Imagination has been lost!
Alyss’s search for answers takes her to London where Arch’s assassins threaten Alice Liddell and her family. But after coming to her adopted family’s assistance, Alyss discovers herself trapped in a conundrum of evaporating puddles. The shimmering portals that exist to transport her home through the Pool of Tears are disappearing! What is happening in Wonderland? Deep within the Valley of Mushrooms the Caterpillar Oracles issue this prophecy: “Action shall be taken to ensure the safety of the Heart Crystal. For Everqueen.” But who is Everqueen?
As the metamorphosis of Wonderland unfolds, enemies become allies, bitter rivals face-off, and Queen Alyss and Redd Heart must confront their pasts in this thrilling, no-holds-barred conclusion to the New York Times best-selling series. Minus the power of Imagination it’s all about the artillery with King Arch, Redd Heart and Queen Alyss’s armies battling for control of Wonderland using AD52’s, crystal shooters, spikejack tumblers and orb cannons. Imagine that!

So glad I took a chance and bought the whole trilogy at once… I saw the books, thumbed through the first couple pages, and knew I had to have them.
The Looking Glass Wars is a rollicking literary reinterpretation of the Alice in Wonderland universe sure to cast a spell on its targeting young adult audience as well as older readers. That undercurrent of danger as well as its strong characterization and thrilling plot all contribute to make this a pleasantly surprising and accomplished work.
A Series with a dark twist on Alice in Wonderland. There are three amazing books and even 6 graphic novels! Not enough people know about this great series. I am recommednding it to all of you. Frank BEddor is a genius.
An entertaining cross between Maguire's WICKED and Steven Spielberg's Peter Pan movie, Hook, THE LOOKING GLASS WARS launches a promised trilogy about Alyss's new adventures. Beddor grabs the imagination and refuses to let go until the reader is pulled as deeply into the adventure as Alyss herself. The worst part, of course, will be the wait for the next book.
I have loved Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland since before I could talk… I gotta say my favorite is Frank Beddor’s The Looking Glass Wars Series.
ABeddor challenges the delicate relationship between truth and fiction, reality and fantasy. And he does so with an interesting take on what such question can ultimately do to the mind of those that fail to believe in and trust in themselves and what they know to be true.
“I read this book when it first came out and struggled to find it since. It's a book that I have suggested to anyone who loves retellings or Alice In Wonderland. The vivid pictures the author paints is extraordinary.”
“I read the trilogy of the looking glass wars in my high school years and I find it thrilling. And after hearing about this book, I was hooked!”
“If you are looking for something that rings of Hogwarts but is firmly rooted in the Wonderland lore I would recommend this book for you. It is labeled as a Middle grade reader but there is much to satisfy all ages in what I hope will be the first of many books.”
“OH MY GOD !!!!! THE BEST HISTORY STORY OF HOW THE CLASSIC STORY CAME TO BE AND WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED IN THE VICTORIAN AGE!!!”
“I have read this book 5 times and still love it. I love each character dearly and I think the plot is great.”
“This clever novel is a combination of historical events, literary references, and a pure reimagining of the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland. Instead of the precocious 7-year-old Alice Liddell falling down a rabbit hole, Princes Alyss Heart, escaping a palace coup, falls into the Pool of Tears and emerges from a puddle in the streets of downtown London. This book brilliantly twists the original story from the first page to the last. This is the Alice/Alyss we didn't know we were waiting for. Brilliant.”
“How can you not love the way this mans mind works I love his epic take on alyss (alice) in wonderland great read.”
“A fun almost dystopian/steampunk/YA take on Alice in Wonderland. I'm going to continue to series, it's a fun break from heavier books and topics of late. Super clean, I'd even feel comfortable with my 9 year old listening in with me. Some violence but it's not gory. A little romance but nothing beyond a G rating.”
“I always come back to this series it’s one of my favorite trilogies. It’s well paced and the story is just captivating in general. I don’t think I’ll ever truly get tired of this first in the series especially. Recommended!”
