Christina Craemer’s Meditative Photography Show, “Nature LA,” At G2 Gallery In Los Angeles
Of course there are the smoke and mirrors success stories that come out of Hollywood daily, but every once-in-a-while there is that rare white peacock of real genuine talent. Rarer still are those chosen few that can sing, dance AND act, or better known as the triple threat.
Christina Craemer is one such rare bird: a talented triple threat when it comes to all things home design. Craemer, a self-taught photographer, however is no stranger to higher learning and holds advanced degrees in Architecture/Engineering and Interior Design from Drexel University and UCLA. The artist is known for integrating all of her disciplines to create holistic environments, which have become her signature.
Although a noted Los Angeles Engineer – Architect, Christina gained notoriety as an Interior Designer working with a celebrity and even royal clientele as well as collaborating with renowned designer James Magni. The numerously published Craemer has now turned her mastery onto the world of photography.
In her latest work, Craemer explores bodies of water and the profoundly emotional yet meditative quality of their presence. Her images are “painting with light” abstractions of oceans, lakes and waterfalls, which result in a surreal dreamlike state: a result she achieved by experimenting within the camera. The pieces range in size.
Her current show: Nature LA is on display at The G2 Gallery in Venice, Calif. The G2 Gallery is an award-winning, fine arts photography gallery focusing on nature and wildlife photography. The esteemed gallery has, to date, given more than $730,000 to non-profits working on local, national and international levels on behalf of nature and wildlife. Post her Nature LA show Christina will take part in G2’s five-year retrospective, Future Perfect, that will include artists that span the entirety of the gallery’s history. Each piece will have a corresponding environmental cause and will be offered by silent auction running from March 5 to April 24 with an anniversary celebration/reception on March 9.
Christina’s artwork can also be found at her site Art54 Studio. The full- stop shop is a culmination of her photography offering to her clients an extensive collection of unique photographs that can be custom ordered and reproduced on canvas, museum quality papers as well as more unique surfaces such as glass, screens or Japanese rice papers.
